The Kindergarten Readiness Program has helped Chassidy become more open to meeting new friends. It has also helped her in following daily routines. She has learned how to communicate better with her peers and teachers. Her communication at home with me (her mom) and her two older sisters has also gotten a lot better.

The Blueprints Pre-K program is wonderful. The teachers and staff are great! They make sure they take the time and energy for each student in the class. My son has grown and matured so much since the first day of Pre-K.

He comes home every day singing a new song, and sharing everything he has learned that day. I now have the confidence that my son will succeed in school, and I have to give that credit to his teacher, Mrs. Quarture, and to Mrs. Laura. Thank you for offering this program, and accepting my son.

This Pre-K program has changed our lives. My daughter has grown tremendously in terms of emotional and social development. Her teachers make themselves available for discussion about any and all questions/concerns. As a mother of a child with a diagnosis, it gives me great comfort to know that my child will be safe and cared for when I drop her off at school. I cannot speak highly enough about this particular classroom.The teachers have allied with our support team to make my daughter’s Pre-K experience as pleasant as can be, and she loves school!! She is now able to write her own name, identify her classmates’ names when seen; she can even count backward now. Marilyn and Jennifer really took the time to continually communicate with me, as well as to learn how best to relate and communicate with my daughter. I couldn’t be more pleased with them!!

The Pre-K Program has had a positive impact on my son’s life as well as our family. My son loves going to school every day and he is so excited each day to show us the work that he did for the day. It makes it very easy for me to get him ready for school since he loves to be there. We have noticed such a positive change in him since he has been in Pre-K.He is proud of himself and is very social. Before he started Pre-K he was on the shy side around other children. Dawn’s Story

Our family loves the Pre-K program. My daughter has autism and before she started school, she really didn’t talk much, but now words are spilling out of her mouth. Everyone comments on how much she’s changed/improved in just a few months. She now listens to directions. She can count and everyday she’s saying new words. She’s four years old and loves getting up in the mornings and getting ready for school.She talks about school all the time. Her social skills have improved dramatically and we can’t wait until next year so her little brother can join her at school. My immediate and extended family thinks very highly of the Pre-K class. I cannot express how much Ms. Marilyn and Miss Jennifer have impacted our lives. First of all they helped ensure my son’s safety in dealing with a peanut/tree nut allergy. Rhonda’s Story

My daughter has been in the Pre-K program for 2 years. We just recently registered her for kindergarten where she had the opportunity to sit down with one of the kindergarten teachers. The kindergarten teacher then came back and talked to my husband and me. The kindergarten teacher said there are normally several things they tell parents to work on during the summer with their child prior to them starting kindergarten. She went on to say that there is nothing we need to work on this summer with our daughter because she is already well prepared to start kindergarten.

The reason my daughter is so prepared to go to kindergarten is because of all she has learned in the past two years in the Pre-K program. The Pre-K program provides a wonderful foundation for academics but it also provides a safe environment to learn social skills and to build confidence and self-esteem. There was a time when I was nervous about my daughter transitioning into the kindergarten setting, but now I realize that my daughter has all the tools she needs to make that transition a success, and there is no doubt in my mind that if she was not a part of the Pre-K program for the past two years that she would not be as prepared and excited to start kindergarten.
