Who Are We

For 60 years, Blueprintsโ€”formerly Community Action Southwestโ€”has partnered with individuals and families to break down barriers and build stronger, more stable futures. Founded in 1965, weโ€™ve grown into a dynamic organization rooted in community and driven by a commitment to long-term change.

As part of the national Community Action network, we connect people with the tools, resources, and support they need to move forward. Our programs are designed to support whole familiesโ€”across all stages of lifeโ€”whether itโ€™s through early childhood education, financial and career support, housing stability, or services for older adults.

Each year, Blueprints serves thousands of households across Washington and Greene counties in Pennsylvania, as well as parts of West Virginia. Backed by an annual budget of nearly $28 million and a team of more than 300 dedicated staff, we are working every day to expand access, create opportunity, and strengthen our communities.

Our work is guided by a 15-member Board of Directors representing public, private, and community sectors. Together with our partners, we are advancing solutions to reduce poverty and create a future where people can build stabilityโ€”and where opportunity and choice are part of the community around them.
