September is National Kinship Care Month!

Kinship care keeps children connected to family – grandparents, aunts, uncles, and relatives who step up when a child needs a safe place to land. This also includes fictive kin, or close family friends, neighbors, coaches, teachers or others who may not be related by blood but by close bonds and relationships.

Blueprints offers kinship support services in Wood County, West Virginia to help these families along the way.

For children who don’t have family who can step in, we need loving foster homes ready to offer stability and support-even for just a season.

Support Blueprints through WCCF Gives Day!

Blueprints has been awarded the 2026 GOLD Level Breastfeeding Award of Excellence from the USDA Food and Nutrition Administration (FNA) through the WIC Breastfeeding Award of Excellence Program.

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting breastfeeding families and providing high-quality services through our WIC program. Even more impressive, in 2025 there were only four Gold Level award recipients across Pennsylvania.

Achieving Gold status is a testament to the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our WIC team and staff who help families thrive every day. This accomplishment also positions Blueprints to pursue the prestigious Premier Award in the years ahead.
