Are you considering purchasing or building a home in our community? Our Home Ownership Center is the ally you need to begin this process.
Through Individual Counseling Sessions, our Certified-HUD Housing Counselors will work with you to:
- Determine what you can afford based on your income
- Obtain and review your credit scores with you and determine if need-be, how those scores can be improved
- Discuss options for down payment assistance
Our Certified-HUD Housing Counselors will provide you with listings of local realtors, homebuilders, mortgage lenders and home insurers, as well as local housing programs including the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington.
In addition to the Individual Counseling Sessions, classes are also available.

Are you having trouble paying or are you behind on your mortgage? Our Home Ownership Center can help mitigate this issue for you.
Through Individual Counseling Sessions, our Certified-HUD Housing Counselors will work with you to:
- Begin the process to refinance, if needed
- Help you to enroll in programs designed to prevent foreclosures
If you are unable to communicate with your mortgage lender about your challenges, we can contact the lender on your behalf. Our ultimate goal is to help you lower your monthly mortgage payment so that you can afford to remain in your home.
