Akaylia’s Story

It is amazing to see how my child has grown since starting the Pre-K program. At the beginning of the school year, my daughter has just recently turned 3 years old and was shy and quiet. Being that she has never been in daycare or any type of organized group setting, she had a hard time adjusting to being away from her family and being placed in a group of 17 other children, all of whom were older than she was.

For the first few weeks, she cried every day when she was dropped off at school and was so shy she wouldn’t speak to anyone, not even the teachers. Now 9 months later, my daughter cries when she is sick and isn’t able to go to school. She talks about her friends in class and gets excited when she has homework to do at home. She went from not recognizing any of her letters to being able to write them all, both uppercase and lowercase. This is a child who couldn’t even spell her name (Akaylia) at the beginning of the year and now is able to write her name without any assistance. Not only is she writing her name, but she is asking how to spell others words so she can write them as well.

This program is designed to give children an exceptional educational groundwork that will help them for years to come. Between the knowledge my daughter has gained and the social skills she has learned, my daughter has really matured in the past year and I have the Pre-K program to thank for that.

Chassidy’s Story

The Blueprints Pre-K program is wonderful. The teachers and staff are great! They make sure they take the time and energy for each student in the class. My son has grown and matured so much since the first day of Pre-K.

This Pre-K program has changed our lives. My daughter has grown tremendously in terms of emotional and social development. Her teachers make themselves available for discussion about any and all questions/concerns. As a mother of a child with a diagnosis, it gives me great comfort to know that my child will be safe and cared for when I drop her off at school. I cannot speak highly enough about this particular classroom.The teachers have allied with our support team to make my daughter’s Pre-K experience as pleasant as can be, and she loves school!! She is now able to write her own name, identify her classmates’ names when seen; she can even count backward now. Marilyn and Jennifer really took the time to continually communicate with me, as well as to learn how best to relate and communicate with my daughter. I couldn’t be more pleased with them!!

Dawn’s Story

Our family loves the Pre-K program. My daughter has autism and before she started school, she really didn’t talk much, but now words are spilling out of her mouth. Everyone comments on how much she’s changed/improved in just a few months. She now listens to directions. She can count and everyday she’s saying new words. She’s four years old and loves getting up in the mornings and getting ready for school.She talks about school all the time. Her social skills have improved dramatically and we can’t wait until next year so her little brother can join her at school. My immediate and extended family thinks very highly of the Pre-K class.
